ZomiBooks is an online library offering PDF and eBook downloads in English, Burmese, and Zomi. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use https://zomilibrary.org (the “Service”).

2) What we collect

Account & Profile
• Name, email, password (hashed), preferred language
• Author/editor profile data if you submit manuscripts

Content & Transactions
• Files and metadata you upload (manuscripts, abstracts, book data)
• Purchase records (item, price, timestamp). Payment cards are processed by our payment providers (e.g., Stripe/PayPal) and not stored by ZomiBooks.

Usage & Device
• Log data (IP address, user-agent, device info, pages, referring URL)
• Download counts; format choices (PDF/EPUB/MOBI)

Cookies & Similar Tech
• Essential cookies for sign-in, cart, security
• Optional analytics/measurement cookies (see /cookies/)

3) How we use information

• Provide, secure, and improve the Service (accounts, search, downloads, anti-abuse)
• Process orders and deliver digital items; send receipts and support replies
• Moderate submissions; verify rights/permissions; maintain metadata and citations
• Understand aggregate usage and demand by language/category
• Send updates about policies, features, or content you follow (opt out anytime)
• Comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect users and the Service

Submitted content & public metadata: retained to preserve the scholarly record unless removal is required by law or our policies

Deletion: request account deletion (some records may remain for legal/archival reasons)
Opt-out: manage non-essential emails and cookies (see /cookies/)

EEA/UK: You may have additional rights (restriction, objection, portability) and can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

9) Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child submitted data, contact us and we will act appropriately.

10) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring). No method is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
